Omoni Oboli
Fans of actress and filmmaker, Omoni Oboli were shocked when the talented role interpreter called out a film critic who wrote a review of about her movie ‘Wives on strike’ back in 2016.The film reviewer said while the movie deserved credit for attempting to tackle a worthy theme in child marriage, it was a disappointing attempt. In her reaction, Oboli wrote on Instagram:“To all naysayers, put your money where your mouth is: produce your own film so you can show us how to do better! You want publicity Wilfred? there! Enjoy it”.
Tiwa Savage
Nigeria’s queen of Afropop, Tiwa Savage was irritated when a journalist, Motolani Alake, wrote a review about her album, Celia. In the review, Alake described the singer’s brand as ‘struggling’ and stated his reasons.
Apparently, the opinion did not go down well with the ‘Somebody’s son’ singer and she took to her Twitter account to air her opinion about the journalist.
“Because say I quiet no mean say I be fool – don’t try and turn Nigerian media against me to hide your guilty conscience. Ask all the media houses I have great relationships with them. What you did with this is pure EVIL,” she wrote.
She further noted that her little son Jamal has made more cash than Alake.
Zlatan
Rapper, Zlatan condemned a certain journalist when the latter wrote an opinion article on Naira Marley’s controversial song ‘Soapy’.
According to Joey Akan the writer, the song is outrightly dumb and thrashy. He also described Naira Marley’s fans as ‘Donkeys of the Year’ for supporting a song that encourages ‘masturbation’. Unexpectedly, Naira Marley’s colleague, replied Akan saying ‘Na all of us be the donkey, including you. Because you follow up pass some marlians sef’’.
Iyabo Ojo
Toyin Abraham recently released a new movie ‘The Ghost and the Tout too’. A movie review platform, Cinema Pointer classified Akindele’s ‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga‘ above Abraham’s new film.
The platform had described Abraham’s movie as “a haplessly brain-dead story” while also alleging that the movie star attempted to copy Akindele’s concept in ‘Omo Ghetto’ sequel.
In her reaction, Ojo reacted in defense of Abraham, criticizing the review and also alleging that Akindele sponsored it.
Her reaction read in part: “How much did Funke pay you to write this rubbish, the day she begins to find ways not to talk bad about her fellow colleagues or try to discredit their hardwork or personality that day she will begin to experience inner peace.
“Toyin’s hardwork and movie Ghost and The Tout Too’ will make box office and your blood gonna dry from hate and jealousy…I said what I said messager of doom.”

Afro-pop singer, Sean Tizzle shocked many of his fans in 2016 when during an interview he was asked if he truly bleached his skin or not. Tizzle got angry, walked out of the interview and showed the cameras the ‘middle finger’ .His conduct sparked mixed reactions back then on social media.
Omawunmi
Popular songstress, Omawunmi also in 2016 stormed angrily out of an interview set when asked about her smoking and drinking habit. The interviewer said, “There is some controversy about you in the industry where people say Omawumi is a mother, she is doing motherhood. It’s amazing because young girls want to be like her but how does she keep this drinking and smoking habit away from her kids?
The mother of three, angered by the question, stuttered, turned to ask the interviewer if she had seen her smoke or drink before.
Omawumi said, “I will not honour you with a response. I feel like that is a taint to my character.
“Have you seen me smoking before? Why should you ask me such a question?”
When the presenter said no, the singer responded, “So why would you say that?
“You see me as an artist, I am contributing what I can. I make music the way that I should and I come here and honour your invitation and then you sit down and talk about my smoking and drinking to people that are listening.”
