Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke has spilled.on how her mental health challenge affected her relationship with her mother.
While celebrating her mother’s birthday today, Chacha reflected on how she had disdain and hatred for her mother as she got older.
She revealed that she had nightmares and hallucinations that supported her euphoria and sadly many men of God told her after several man!c episodes that her mother was after her life.
And so, she went about wishing her mother death, until she discovered that she had dysfunctional thought patterns and beliefs that switches her most favorite to her least favorite.

“This is a video of me and my biological Mom. I loved her intensely when I was younger. She was, and still is my best friend. However, as I got older, I began to dislike and develop a deep hatred for her. I had nightmares and hallucinations that supported my euphoria. Sadly, many men of God told me after several man!c episodes that she was after my life. And so I went about wishing her death and spewing despicable things about her.
Looking back now at my mental health challenges and journey, it’s laughable to know that those dysfunctional thought patterns and beliefs of mine were a disorder, a chemical reaction in the brain waves that switches your “most favorite” to “your least favorite”.

Chacha Eke spills on how she got her mental health
Last year, Chacha Eke opened up on her mental health journey.
The mother of four, who has been a proud advocate of mental health following her diagnosis with b!polar disorder, has made a new revelation about her personal life.
Chacha revealed that she got her ‘craziness’ from her mother and would likely pass it to her daughter.
The 35-year-old also revealed that she lost a baby 18 years ago. According to her, the baby died, and she is still in pain. Despite it being over a decade, she never forgets.
“I am cr@zy, I got it from my mama. My mama was a cr@zy woman, her mama was cr@zy. My daughter will probably grow up and be a cr@zy little lady. Read more here.
