Ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial elections slated for March 11 across thirty-one out of thirty-six states in Nigeria, Perosaiyemi Adeniyi, the second baby mama of singer, 2Baba has shared her thoughts about Lagos state.
The mother of four took to her Instagram story to advise Lagosians on what to do in order to better their lives and put an end to godfatherism in the state.
According to Pero, most of the people clamouring for the political party of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to continue governing the state have other options they can fall back on when things don’t go well.
Stating the obvious, she noted that this set of people don’t have children who school in Nigeria, they don’t rely on public health care nor do they rely on public transportation to move around. She charged that Lagosians wake up from their slumber as the party in question has ruled the state for more than twenty years.
Pero noted that change is healthy and there must e a shift in power. She however noted that choosing the right leader has gone beyond religion, tribe and age. While noting that she has options because she resides in the United States of America, she said she is calling for change because people are suffering while using a Lagos State Government-owned hospital as an example.
She posed an important question if health care should be luxury or a necessity. Pero asked that those who are not comfortable with her shared thoughts unfollow her.
She wrote: “Most of the elites shouting Apc must continue in Lagos have options. Ask them if their children school in Nigeria, ask them if they use general hospital, are they entering bus or keke napep. You guys better wake up! They have ruled Lagos for more than 20 yrs why must it be so?
“Marwa was the military gov of Lagos State he did excellent (operation sweep) Change is healthy!!! There must be a shift. It has nothing to do with tribe, age or religion! I like in America. I have options! I am only advocating for change because people are suffering! Really suffering, too! Pls go to general hospital Gbagada then come back and tell me how Lagos is working. Iyabo Ojo analyzes Lagos Stae governorship candidates
Kemi Filani reported that Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo analyzed the governorship candidates of Lagos State.
The mother of two who strongly supported Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Obi during the presidential election took to her Instagram page to analyze the three governorship candidates in Lagos State.
Analyzing Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the sitting governor and candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Iyabo Ojo said APC has never been one she chooses; however, she has no issues with Sanwo-Olu’s achievements. Although Iyabo noted that she can’t get past the outcome of the 2020 End SARS protest which claimed the lives of protesters. She said that Sanwo-Olu could have done better.
On the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Iyabo said if she were to put sentiments aside, she would throw her support behind her colleague and friend, Funke Akindele; however, she must look beyond emotions and won’t make a fair judgement.
Speaking on Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour,, the Labour Party’s candidate, Iaybo said she has observed his dreams of taking over leadership in Lagos which seem to be promising, she can’t ignore the conflicting reports that have sprung up about his experience and social belief.

“1. APC: Though this party has never been my prerogative, but give it to Mr Sanwoolu, I have no issues with his achievements and his government. What I find hazy and can’t shake off is how the unfortunate endsars saga played out. I maintain he should have done better.
“2. PDP: If I were to be sentimental, I would take back my words & certainly pitch with my dear friend Funke, but i must see beyond emotions. so I am unable to make a fair judgment.
“3. LP: I have watched closely this young man’s dream to take on the mantle of leadership of our dearly beloved state. Whilst he has a promising resume, one can not overlook the number of conflicting reports on his pedigree and experience…..🤔”
