Nigerian legendary singer, Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy or Area Fada has expressed disappointment in renowned play wright, Wole Soyinka.
Taking to his Instagram page, Charly Boy blasted him for degrading himself to become a servant for criminal politicians.
Describing it as a fucking shame, he noted how he always had a deep respect for him and placed him in the same category as the late Chinua Achebe.
But now, it has dawned on him that Soyinka can never be the man Chinua Achebe was.
“The kin respect I had for this ma, was almost the kind of respect I had for the late Justice C.A. Oputa, The Socrates of the Supreme Court. It has finally dawned on me that Soyinka can never be the man Chinua Achebe was.
Look at a man many Nigerians put on such a high pedestal reducing himself to a boyiboyi for criminal politicians.
What a fucking shame”.
Charly Boy recounts battle with cancer prostrate
Just a few days back, Charly Boy shared his battle with prostate cancer.
The singer cum activist, in a post on his Instagram page, recounted how he survived prostate cancer.
While sharing a video of him being wheeled out of the theatre, Charly Boy disclosed saying that he had been battling the ailment for over 10 days.
According to him, being a survivor is the greatest favor God has done for him.
He appreciated God for sparing his life and his family for their support as well as thanked the Nigerian doctor who performed his surgery.

In other news, Charly Boy had warned the founder of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman to be careful of his inner circle.
The legendary singer noted how the clergyman had been embroiled in several scandalous news over the years. Although, admitting that many Nigerian pastors are fraudulent or scumbags, he, however, believes that Apostle Suleman is the only one who bears the brunt.
As such, he warned the controversial clergyman to be careful of the women around him. Charly Boy claimed to have had a bad dream about him where some women were trying to cut off his penis.
