Nigerian entertainer and human rights activist, Charly Boy, has been slammed by his daughter Dewy Oputa for a recent social media post he made. Recall that last week his daughter came out of the closet declaring she is a lesbian. The US based lady also flaunted her girlfriend on Instagram. This drew a lot of reactions from Nigerians who wanted to know what Charly Boy’s opinion will be.
Reacting to the news of his daughters sexuality, Charly Boy stated that he loves her regardless. His daughter’s sexuality has also made him to reactivate his defence of the LGBT communit.
Charly Boy said, ‘now I reactivate my fight in defence of the LGBT community. You know something? Openness may not completely disarm prejudice but is a good place to start. I am hoping that my support will be a show of strength to the Nigerian LGBT community’.
However, his daughter has slammed him for his new stance. She accused him of trying to take advantage of the publicity she got to attain fame, even when he doesn’t care about her, going by him blocking her on social media.
