There is a report online that the parents of music star Davido’s wife, Chioma, will miss her white wedding to the singer over a US ban.
According to blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus, Davido’s parents-in-law will not be in Miami, Florida, this weekend to watch him marry their daughter in a lavish ceremony. The blog claimed that Chioma’s parents’ visas were revoked and a ban was placed on them after they stayed for over a year with Chioma in the US after their traditional wedding last year.
The blog further claimed that Chioma’s parents didn’t keep to the terms of the 5-year visas handed to them.

Singer Davido’s mother-in-law and father-in-law will not be in Miami, Florida, to watch as he legally marries Chioma, their daughter. Chioma’s Dad was supposed to walk her down the aisle at the destination wedding!
According to what happened, after Chioma and Davido did their traditional wedding, in 2024, Chioma returned with her Parents and sister to the US, and her parents stayed for over a year before travelling back to Nigeria (Which was a big mistake)
As soon as they returned to Nigeria, their visas were revoked, and they were banned because they did not adhere to the terms of the 5-year visas handed to them.
According to the explanations, Chioma’s parents were not supposed to stay in the US for so long without returning to Nigeria.
”It is a pity now because they cannot attend their daughter’s wedding in Florida, and there is really no trusted person to care for the twins, the way they did…The terms of the visa were explained to them when they got it, but I guess they may have forgotten.
I hope they get to watch the wedding on live camera on August 10th. “

Kemi Filani reported a day ago that Davido and Chioma had jetted to Miami for their wedding. The singer had decorated his private jet with white flowers to give his wife special treatment.
Recall that in June, last year, Davido shut down Lagos for his traditional wedding to Chioma. The wedding which many tagged Wedding of the Year had in attendance both Lagos and Osun State Governors, Ooni of Ife, billionaire businessmen, and many celebrities.
While paying respect to Chioma’s parents, Davido had listed out his plans for his wife. He declared that it was a lifetime assurance for her as he promised to protect her, respect her and connect her.
