It seems Nigerian singer Dammy Krane’s public apology to music star, Davido wasn’t from his heart as he has resumed shading the singer.
Hours ago, while announcing the release of his first single for the Year, Wizkid threw shots at Davido after an X user queried if he couldn’t sell the song without dissing him.
Replying to him, Wizkid made it known that he doesn’t beef with wack niggas as he described Davido as a man with no talent. Giving him a new name, he called Davido Frigodo as he boldly declared that people had nothing on him till infinity.
Reacting to it, Dammy Krane, via the micro-blogging platform Twitter, now known as X, questioned who Frigodo was as he wondered if it was Davido, who he referred to as a debtor. He wrote, “Who’s Frigodo? Owe be owe?”.
Recall that for years now, Davido and Dammy Krane have been at loggerheads after the latter accused him of owing him money. In response, Davido highlighted his support for Dammy Krane in the past, including providing him with accommodation when he needed it. However, Dammy Krane maintained that this support does not negate the financial debt owed to him.
Days before Davido’s wedding in June, Dammy had called the singer a murderer, accusing him of killing his late friend, Tagbo.
His statement had gotten him into trouble as Davido’s lawyer gave him 24 hours to retract all offensive publications against Davido on his social media handles. He was also asked to refrain from further publication of defamatory statements against Davido on any platform or risk facing legal actions.
In August, the singer was arrested and was set to face criminal charges for his defamatory statements and slanderous publications against the singer. Luckily for him, Davido dropped all charges and allowed his release.
Making his first public statement, Dammy appreciated Very Dark Man; he admitted that he knew he said lots of words that weren’t supposed to be said, and he apologised.
Following his release, Dammy made good use of his second chance as he had announced via the micro-blogging platform Twitter, now known as X, that he was starting a prison reform foundation for the illegally detained. He stated that freedom is priceless.
