Afrobeat singer Davido just recently took to his Instagram to announce that he was going to donate 300 million Naira to orphanages.
Taking to his Instagram page, he shared this exciting news with the caption,
“ I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria as my yearly contribution to the nation. Details of this investment tomorrow.”
Now, also recall that a few years ago, Davido had been gifted over 100 million Naira from his friends and fans all over the world to celebrate on his birthday.
He had also revealed that he was going to disburse the money to orphanages and less privilege homes. In 2023, he had showed his fans and followers how the money contributed to him for his birthday had been disbursed to orphanage homes.
Recall that controversial media personality Daniel Regha had in previous years questioned him about the 100 million Naira contributed for him on his birthday and his promise to disburse it to orphanages.
A few days ago, netizens had also slammed Davido after he expressed that he had never been gifted by anyone. They took to reminding him of the monetary gift he had gotten on his birthday as a particular Twitter fan took it upon himself to term him ungrateful .
