Nigerian superstar singer Davido has reacted to advice from one of the pastors at his wedding.
Kemi Filani reported that Davido married the love of his life, Chioma, during the weekend in a lavish white wedding ceremony in Miami.
Taking to his Instagram story, Davido shared an advice he received from one of the pastors, who officiated the wedding ceremony.
In the clip, the pastor cautioned Davido about other women and urged him to live by the message of one of his hit songs, “Unavailable.”
The priest said, “Davido, I give you credit because when… the world is watching me, I know. David, I remembered last year that one of your songs said, ‘I am unavailable’.
I know there are many women in your band. Some wanted to breathe out of you and will continue to post your pictures. Even today, some will sleep with your picture under their pillows. Please tell them I am no longer available“.
Reacting to it, Davido said people should clear the road as he mounts.
“Clear road!! I Mount”.
During their wedding vows, Chioma described Davido as her love, best friend, and the calm in her storm. She promised to walk with him forever and hold his hand.
Davido described Chioma as his love, peace, and hope and said she walked into his life quietly and became the loudest. He noted how she saw the real him and still chose him. The singer added that Chioma is his best friend, healer, and calm in the storm and stated that God brought her into his life to show her unconditional love.
During an interview with Noire TV Network at her white wedding bridal shower, Chioma said that, contrary to reports, Davido cares about dreams and is always asking what she wants to do. She disclosed that she and Davido have plans for the next few months.
Davido and Chioma’s love story is one that many find very emotional. The couple’s love, just like many, stood the test of time, as they went on and off for a while. From the death of their son to Davido’s several cheating scandals, this couple have survived it all.
In an interview, months back, Davido had vowed never to cheat again. He noted how he went through ordeals with his philandering ways and, as such, has turned a new leaf.
