Award-winning Afrobeat singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, is currently in India.
The singer is buzzing the internet with clips of him arriving at the country in grand style. As expected, the Afrobeat King was given a royal welcome and treated like a King as he arrived in the country.
In videos posted to his Instagram stories, Davido was captured arriving at a city in India, Udaipur, in a ship as he was treated to a royal welcome. A clip captioned the moment, flowers were thrown at him to welcome him, and Davido happily turned around, enjoying the moment.
Davido revealed that he was in India to perform at a wedding ceremony, for India billionaire businessman, Alkesh Thavrani, and was reportedly paid $10 million.

Davido isn’t the only Nigerian artist who has been to India. In May last year, Rema received a rousing welcome from the citizens when he stormed India. The âCalm Downâ singer was seen in viral clips receiving Indian royal treatment as a troupe of dancers welcomed him in grand style. Expressing gratitude, Rema stated that he was overwhelmed by the love he received, as he asked his fans to give him an Indian name.
Similarly, Actress Chioma Akpotha recounted her first experience in India. Sharing a video of her trip which was purely on a work basis, Chioma expressed how delighted she was to have been there.
In a different news, Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola had kept his fans glued with photos and videos from his trip to Morocco. Sharing a clip of him in a red outfit being carried on the shoulder by Moroccans, he revealed that this was the best moment of his life, as he praised their culture, calling it wonderful.
He had also visited Qatar for the first time last year and couldn’t couldnât keep calm. Sharing clips from his short trip which was courtesy of a brand he represents, the actor recounted his experience and described the experience as lovely, wonderful, and memorable.
