Ahead of his wedding on June 25th, Afrobeat music star Davido has revealed his best man.
The singer, who is preparing for his traditional wedding to the love of his life and mother of his 3 kids, Chioma Rowland, via his Twitter page replies a fan who inquired who would be his best man.
The fan identified as OGB of Africa questioned who would be the singer’s beat man and Davido replied, revealing that it is his long time friend and 30bg gang, Lati.
The fan tweeted, “As Davido dey do wedding, who go be Davido’s best man?”
He replied, “Lati”.
The news has left many divided as some express disappointment that Isreal DMW wouldn’t be his best man, while others praised him for choosing Lati, who has been there for him since the beginning.

Last night, Davido and Chioma had treated their friends and family ti a dinner. After paying a visit to some of their family and friends to give them their wedding invite, Davido and Chioma threw a pre-wedding dinner which had only their close circles in attendance.
Kemi Filani reported a few days back, that Davido had recruited his former lawyer, Bobo Ajudua as one of his groomsmen. Despite their fallout, the former lawyer to the singer is part of his groom’s train, which mostly includes his close associates from secondary school and higher institution and a few from the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo had issued a strong advice to the couple. She admonished them against publicizing their private life, saying the wedding should have been a private event.
There is no doubt that Davido and Chioma’s marriage has stood the test of time. From the death of their son to Davido’s several cheating scandals, this couple keeps waxing stronger.
Recall that in November 2022, Davido secretly got married to Chioma after their son’s death. The court wedding, which was done in his father’s house, had few family friends in attendance with no camera allowed. In January 2023, Davido finally paid Chioma’s bride price (Umunna) in full at Ezeala Odu, Imo state.
