Music star and wave of the moment, David Adeleke better known as Davido has sent a message to his naysayers and those who underestimate him.
The Afrobeat singer, who recently shut down the 02 Arena in London, told his haters and critics never to play with God.
Listing out his wins, he noted how people mocked him for not having a Grammy nomination and now he has it. He noted how they said he doesn’t have Billboard Hot 100 entry, UK Certification, 100m on Spotify, and much more, but he has proved them wrong.
Noting how they will never learn, Davido told his haters to stop daring him as he will relegate their fave and lock them in the city.

100 million on Spotify.” He exceeded it.

Since the release of his comeback album, Timeless, Davido has been soaring high as his album now has over a billion streams.
His new album had brought the singer more recognition and had made him a Grammy nominee. Timeless bagged 3 nominations for Best Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Global Music Album at the 2024 Grammy.
Speaking on his nomination, Davido affirmed that delay isn’t denial, especially since his contemporaries, Burna Boy and Wizkid have been recognized by the academy.
In October, Davido was honored by Atlanta and Georgia with a ‘Day’ dedicated to praising him. Atlanta had officially declared November 18th, 2023 as Davido’s Day, while Fulton County, Georgia has declared November 21st, 2023 as Davido Appreciation Day.
Also, Davido was recognized as an “Outstanding Georgia citizen by the Georgia State of Assembly.
