Award-winning music star Davido is celebrating his mother’s posthumous birthday.
The singer’s mother, Vero Adeleke died in 2003 at age 40. Today would have marked her 61st birthday.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform Twitter now known as X, Davido wished his mother a happy birthday as he expressed how much he misses and loves her.
“Happy birthday Mommy. Love and miss you”.
Many of his fans took to his comment section to wish her a happy heavenly birthday.

During his traditional wedding in June, Davido had paid tribute to his late mother who was from Edo State, with his second wedding attire. The singer rocked an Edo traditional attire, with his personal logistics manager, gearing him up.
A month after his wedding, Davido had shared a photo of his late mother in her youthful days as he described her as a baddie.
Marking her posthumous birthday two years back, Davido had described his late mother as a sweet mother.
In other news, last year, Davido spilled some tea about his family’s longtime relationship with skitmaker, Mr Macaroni. He revealed that his late mother bought Mr Macaroni his first phone.
The singer was undoubtedly telling the truth as Mr Macaroni had once admitted to it. In January 2022, Mr Macaroni said that Deji Adeleke, father of Davido, bought him his first laptop ever. Macaroni described the billionaire as one of his greatest inspirations, who taught him the act of giving and helping others.
