Afrobeat singer Davido has declared love for his female colleague, Tiwa Savãge, a year after their fallout.
During his interview on The Breakfast Club podcast, Davido described the singer as his sister for life. Affirming his love for her and her son, Jamil, Davido declared them his family for life. The singer further vowed never to allow anything to happen to her.
“Tiwa Savãge is my sister for life; I love her and her son. We are family. I will never allow anything to happen to her”.
Recall that Davido’s custody drama with his first babymama, Sophia Momodu led to a fallout between him and Tiwa Sav@ge, as they unfollowed each other on Instagram. Tiwa’s baby daddy, Tee Billz, dragged Davido for disrespecting them and accused him of being a deadbeat father and vindicated Sophia. Tiwa had even slammed Davido with a Threat to Life letter, alleging that on several occasions, he had bullied her.
Many celebrities defended Tiwa during the spat while slamming Davido for his toxicity.
Former BBNaija star Tboss stated that it is okay to admit that one’s role model made mistakes, as he is also human. Describing the mistake as awful, nasty, and shameful, she, however, stated that it doesn’t take away the fact that, at one time, they showed consideration to some people, which could include their fans.
Tacha called out Davido for his audacity and God-complex, admonishing him to take up someone his size for once. Tacha noted that the singer wasn’t feeding her, hence her willingness to call out his foolishness.
Singer Simi distanced herself from Davido supporters. The singer stated that she wanted nothing to do with people who continue to support predatory people. She added that there comes a time in life when one has to use one’s senses, and there is no excuse.
