Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya is finally back in Nigeria with her newborn daughter.
Kemi Filani reported in August that Debbie became a first-time mum as she welcomed a baby girl with her husband, a year after losing her pregnancy.

After months of being abroad, Debbie is finally back in Nigeria and has taken to her Instagram page to express gratitude to God. Sharing photos of the grand welcome she received, she noted how she went alone pregnant and came back with a best friend and travel buddy. Expressing gratitude to God, she promised to come back with her videos and epistle.
“WELCOME BACK
I Went Alone, Preggy; I Came Back With A Bestie/Travel Buddy.
My Success Story!
Lord, I Am Grateful.
I Am Coming Back With My Videos And Epistle.

In another post, she penned an emotional note to her daughter for rewriting her story. She stated that she loved the fact that no one needed to preach to her about her daughter; instead, she made her have an encounter with her.
“KHAIRAT AYOKUNMI EJALONIBU.

My Success Story!
God Did It!
I Stood Strong And I Won.
I Am Grateful Lord
You Rewrote My Story!
I Love The Fact That No One Needed To Preach To Me About You, Instead You Made Me Had Encounter With You
I Know There Is God Because I Have Experienced Him Countless Times!
Looking Back At Everything, I Can Only Say “HE IS A GOD WHO LOVES TO SHOW OFF!!”
And I Am Glad He Always Shows Up And Show Off With Me
Godfather @mr_kogberegbe”.
Her colleagues flooded her comment section with welcome-back messages. Biola Bayo, Kiekie, Seiilat, Mo Bimpe, Tawa Ajisefinni, Fausat Balogun, Omowunmi Ajiboye, Kiitan Bukola, Eniola Badmus, Jamiu Azeez, Toyin Adewale, Esther Kalejaye and more sent her well wishes.
A few weeks back, Debbie opened up on her pregnancy journey, revealing that she first thought she lost but God was planning the best for her. She recalled how the result said she had high prolactin, but God turned it to pregnancy. According to Debbie, the devil tried using her trauma against her on her journey but God was standing by her and He blessed her beyond how she could describe it.
The birth of her first child is coming a year after she lost her pregnancy. In August 2023, Debbie in an emotional video on her Instagram page, tearfully recounted how she lost her pregnancy at eight months. She noted how she sacrificed and went through a lot for her unborn child and even bonded with her child so well before the loss.
