Nigerian disc jockey, Florence Otedola better known as DJ Cuppy, is leaning on her family following her split from ex-fiance, Ryan Taylor.
Taking to her Instagram page to share photos from her grandmother’s 80th birthday party, she expressed how grateful she is to still have her grandparents around.
According to her, family is always first and they all went all out for their maternal grandmother’s birthday.
DJ Cuppy further revealed her favorite thing about her culture, Yoruba, which is their love of celebrating people while they are still alive.
“Family FIRST! You know we had to go ALL OUT for my Mummy’s Mummy’s 90th Birthday! It’s such a blessing to have grandparents around. My favorite thing about my culture is we celebrate people while we still have them with us. #CuppyDat”.
Kemi Filani reported some days back that DJ Cuppy had lamented over her failed engagement to British boxer, Ryan Taylor. Recall that the couple got engaged at the end of November, unfortunately, their relationship hit the rock in the middle of this year.
This month would have been their anniversary month and DJ Cuppy seems to still be brooding over it, as she took to her Instagram story to lament over how she and Ryan have become strangers.
Consoling her, one Netizen identified as Akinwunmi advised the daughter of Femi Otedola to give up on love and just have kids.
After 7 months of being engaged, DJ Cuppy and Ryan Taylor broke up for undisclosed reasons in July.
The disc jockey was spotted on several occasions without her rings and had stopped sharing photos of her boo, which left many questioning if the couple was still together.
Kemi Filani dug into it and noticed that the lovebirds had unfollowed each other on social media.
Speaking out, Ryan Taylor hinted at the cause of the breakup, as he stated that if something is blocking one’s spirituality, one should let it go.
Also giving a hint at their break-up, Cuppy had showered love on her mother, Nana Otedola for always knowing the best.
Recall that during an interview with Brunch with Amel, DJ Cuppy revealed that she got engaged after two days of meeting her fiancee, Ryan Taylor.
According to her, it was after their engagement she started making inquiries about him because things between them were so quick.
