There’s an ongoing challenge on social media called ‘Esther-blish’, where people are sharing their drastic physical transformations from when they weren’t rich, to when they made it in life.
Don Jazzy joined this challenge, and the first few pictures he shared were throw back, and while viewers were expecting that he would show a current picture of himself, Don Jazzy shocked them by showing himself in different ‘filter’ wigs that he often goofs around in on social media.
Despite the fact that Don Jazzy is one of the biggest names in the music industry, with a good number of successful singers signed under his record label, he has maintained his playful personality online, and that is why he has such a huge engagement and presence on social media.
Before the advent of social media, Don Jazzy was still one of the biggest names in the industry. He was basically producing songs for most of his record label members like D’Banj and Wande Coal, while voicing adlibs in their songs.
Over time, Don Jazzy has settled in more as a boss, but he still does major promotion for his record label signees. Also, he hasn’t dropped the lid on production yet, as he still produces some songs.
The members of Don Jazzy’s record label MAVIN are quite successful, and have won numerous awards. Some years ago, one of such awards caused an issue between Don Jazzy and Olamide. Reekado Banks won an award at the Headies Awards, and he was in the same category with Lil Kesh, who happened to be one of Olamide’s signees at the time.
The decision of the award panel didn’t sit well with Olamide, as he climbed on stage and vented out that it was unfair that Lik Kesh didn’t win. Don Jazzy responded by saying that if it was the car that came with the award that Olamide wanted, he should come and carry it.
The beef between Don Jazzy and Olamide made waves when it happened because they were one of the top record label bosses at the time.
