In a recent development, Afrobeat artist Davido has slammed a popular blog for referring to him as Papa Ifeanyi.
It all started when Davido took to Xplatform to reveal that he loved his people just like he likes the native music Igbo food, Ofeakwu.
Now, reacting to this statement, a popular blog reported this news by calling him Papa Ifeanyi. Responding to this name tag, Davido cautioned them not to do it again.
In his words, he stated,
“ Don’t do that.”
This is primarily because it is public knowledge that Davido lost his son Ifeanyi back in 2022 after a painful drowning incident.
Recall that in October of 2022, Kemi Filani had reported that Ifeanyi, Davido’s son, with his wife Chioma, had died after drowning in their swimming pool in Banana Island.
Also recall that a few months after his death, Davido and Chioma reportedly tied the knot in an intimate ceremony. Speculations also arose during that period, which stated that for him to be able to bury his son Ifeanyi with his last name, he would have to marry Chioma, which was an Igbo culture.
Also recall that back in April, Davido had celebrated his wife Chioma’s birthday with a sweet and adorable message. Calling her a strong woman, he stated that the both of them would be together forever.
