Nigerian Gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo’s music producer, Dr Roy has made a U-turn hours after calling out the singer.
Kemi Filani reported hours ago that the music producer had shared his ordeal working with the gospel singer in the Honest Bunch podcast with Nedu. He recounted how he once asked her for help when his father had a stroke and she looked away and told him that his father would be healed.
He stated that he thought working for the gospel singer would put an end to the hardship in his family, unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
“Me & Mercy Chinwo used to sleep by 5 am & wake up by 7 am & work again till 5 am back to back. I produced Excess Love, Omekannaya, Receive It, etc but I never got paid for it. My father got ill and I begged for assistance & their response was ‘He will be fine’.”
Now making a U-turn, Dr Roy in a video captured online stated that he wasn’t referring to Mercy Chinwo, but her label boss, Ezekiel ThankGod, who is the owner of EeZee Concepts.
He claimed that Mercy was the one who helped him when his father died.
“I wasn’t referring to Mercy Chinwo.
I am calling out Ezekiel thankGod, the owner of EeZee concepts instead.
Mercy Chinwo was the one who helped me when my father died”.
The video has left many believing the singer threatened a lawsuit against him.

Similarly, Kwam1’s former drummer, Kunle Ayanlowo had opened up on his time working with him as he recounted how Kwam1 treated him and others as a slave and always seized their passports anytime they traveled and returned to Nigeria.
He shared one of his bitter ordeal with the singer when he was battling a health issue as he stated that he caused nothing from his 32 years of working with the singer.
Reacting to it, Kwam1 told him to stop lying as he noted how Kunle was trying to damage his reputation, meanwhile, he was the one who raised him when he was a nobody. He further went on to release a diss track for him where he shed more light on the situation.
