Rapper Drake has slammed his father for claiming that he lied about them having a torn relationship in order for him to sell records.
His father, Dennis Graham, stated in an interview that all through the period the public thought he and Drake were not in talking terms, they were actually communicating regularly.
He added that when he confronted Drake about the words he said against him in his music, Drake said it was all to sell records.
“I had a conversation with Drake about that. I have always been with Drake. I talk to him if not every day, every other day. We really got into a deep conversation about that. I said, ‘Drake, why are you saying all of this different stuff about me man? This is not cool.’ He [goes], ‘Dad, it sells records.’ I said ‘Okay, well cool. Talk about me!’” , his father Dennis Graham said.
Reacting to his father’s words in the interview, Drake stated that his father would say anything to anyone willing to listen.
”Woke up today so hurt man. My father will say anything to anyone that’s willing to listen to him
” It’s sad when family gets like this but what can we really do that’s the people we are stuck with … every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept”.
