Newly married Nollywood actress, Ekene Umenwa had recounted how she prayed and fasted before picking her Chief bridesmaids.
The Nollywood star, who shut down social media with her star-studded wedding, via her Instagram page revealed that she wanted to pick her maid of honor herself but the Holy Spirit didn’t allow her.
She disclosed that she had to fast and pray for 9 days and Jesus told her to allow him to select the best for her and He led her to her colleague, Chinenye Nnebe.
The new wife praised her colleague for her wisdom, character, personality, beauty, elegance and more. She called her an Angel in human form as she appreciated her creator for helping her make the right decision.

Taking to her comment section, Chinenye appreciated her for giving her the honor as she rained prayers on her. She added that her touching post moved her to tears.

Recall that Ekene Umenwa made headlines on her wedding day when a video of her leaving her husband to embrace and kneel before Gospel singer, Moses Bliss made rounds online.
This sparked criticism, with many arguing that her actions were inappropriate for a married woman.
In response, Ekene who was unbothered, expressed her gratitude to her friend for facilitating her meeting with Moses Bliss. She also thanked the gospel singer for gracing her wedding, describing his presence as instrumental in making the event memorable and vibrant.
Notably, her husband also defended her, urging people to mind their own business. Additionally, her friend, , shed light on the incident, explaining the hidden meaning behind by act.
