Nollywood actress, Empress Njamah has given an update on her colleague and best friend, Ada Ameh’s health.
Kemi Filani News reported that Ada Ameh had cried out for help over an issue which was eating her up.
‘The Johnsons’ actress revealed that she was given a job which she failed to deliver because she was battling mental health.
Unfortunately for her, the company didn’t understand what she was going through and had filed a lawsuit against her.
Ada Ameh claimed the company was suing her for a staggering amount, which she seemed unable to afford.
Ada Ameh admitted that the lawsuit is taking her life, but, she wouldn’t allow it to weigh her down or kill her.
She said : “I have an issue right now that can take my life but I no go die. We would get over it. I was given a job but I didn’t do it because I have mental health issues. Will people understand it if you have mental issues? No they wouldn’t. They are slamming me with a bill, suing me. It’s okay”.
In a new update, Empress Njamah has assured the public that the actress was feeling better.
Appreciating everyone who reached out to her, she apologized to those whose calls and messages she could return.
Empress Njamah stated that the phase the actress was in was one that she would pass.
“All we can say is thanks for all your prayers, encouragement, love, sweet words, advice, calls, messages….we can only keep praying. I didn’t ignore all your tags. I have been babysitting (or should I say adult sitting) according to @adaameh it is well, who no go no know… It will pass”.
Kemi Filani news recalls actor, Akume Akume had shed more light on actress Ada Ameh’s battle with mental illness and had further called on the Nigerian movie industry and fans to help her.
Advocating for help on a Facebook post the actor wrote: “Hello. all… Greetings to whoever is reading this. This is is to all my Nollywood family, Benue film producers, actors and well-wishers. Our Darling sister and colleague are going through a lot at the moment. She’s been down with some mental health issues. She’s recovering now though.
“A certain company is suing her for failing to perform her duties on set, which was due to her health issues. Adah Ameh needs us now… AGN, DGN, CDGN, PROMOTERS, MARKETERS, FANS… You can reach her directly via her Instagram account call her… Or better still go through AGN chairmen”.
