Nollywood actress Empress Njamah has turned heads with a video of her rejecting a marriage proposal.
In the video posted on her Instagram page, the movie star was captured rejecting a marriage proposal from her male pal. In the clip, the man revealed that he prayed to God and He answered his prayers and brought Empress his way.
“I prayed to God and He answered me and brought you my way. Will you marry me?”.
Speaking out, Empress noted how he omitted the fact that he threw it in front of his friends and family, whom she respects. She further expressed how humbled she is that a man of his calibre was on his knees for her, yet she is interested.
“I am so emotional right now, but I have to speak. You actually omitted the fact that you threw this in front of your friends and family. I respect them so much, and I am overwhelmed. I didn’t expect that it would happen so soon. Coming from the king of Abuja, for you to go on your knees, to do this for me and at the end of the day, I said I am not interested”.
In her caption, Njamah said she said no because friends don’t marry each other. The friend of Late Ada Ameh added that it’s better they’re friends than lovers.

Last year, Empress had replied to a troll who prayed for her to get married and settle down, over her age. The actress told her fan to focus on her muted life as she made the fan know that life doesn’t begin and ends with marriage.
In 2022, Empress was in a relationship with a Liberian man, Josh Wade. The relationship became her worst nightmare as, in December 2022, she cried out after he blackmailed her. Narrating her ordeal, she called on the Nigerian police to help in tracking her blackmailer, who she claimed had access to her private videos and also made away with her values worth millions of naira. Things escalated between the two, and Josh Wade released her nudes and carted away her valuables.
Luck fortunately smiled on her as he met his Waterloo in 2023, as the law finally cut up on him.
Empress was once in a relationship with singer Timaya. However, things soon turned sour in 2009, as the two called things quit over a car. According to reports, Timaya had given Empress money to buy a new car, but she refused and kept driving his cars, which infuriated him. This pushed Timaya to call Empress a thief on a national daily, leading to their beef. However, the two settled their beef as Timaya had righted all wrongs with the movie star.
