Consolation messages have been pouring in for Nollywood actress cum politician Funke Akindele, over her mother’s death.
A few days ago, Kemi Filani reported that Funke Akindele had lost her mother.
The news was shared by her sister, Olubunmi Akindele, who disclosed that they lost their mother on the 7th of February.
“It is with heavy hearts, but in total submission to God Almighty, that the ADEBANJO and AKINDELE families announce the passing of their daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. DR. R B ADEBANJO-Akindele, which occurred on Tuesday, 07 February 2023.
May her gentle soul begin its rest eternal in peace. Amen. Obsequies in honour of her passing shall be announced in due course.

Funke Akindele finally opens up
A few days after, Funke Akindele took to her verified Instagram page to share compiled video of her mother with a caption that got many consoling her.
The mother of two said they would not be mourning her dear mother, who left great legacies behind.
“…Mum, you raised me to be very hardworking, dedicated and selfless. You were a blessing to not just your children but everyone around you. You always positively impacted the lives of anyone who came across you…”
