Just as she is bold in her movies, Chioma Blessing Nwaoha (better known as Chioma Nwaoha) is equally bold in real life when it comes to voicing her opinions about issues, especially on controversial topics.
She was true to nature recently when she spoke to Kemi Filani News without mincing words about liposuction which has been a trending topic in showbiz for the past few months.
Said she: “I do not find liposuction bad, and I will give it a shot if I want to.”
Chioma Nwaoha also weighed in on the recent clamouring for Nigerians to get their Permanent Voters Card, PVC, advocacy that has been taken up by many celebrities as the country moves into electioneering season.
There has been a raging debate about the legality or otherwise of celebrities getting political, just as popular figures have been criticised for publicly canvassing for certain politicians.
According to her, there is nothing wrong with celebrities going political. “If I want a good leader for Nigeria and I believe in the candidacy of a particular politician, I should be proud of my choice, and secondly, I don’t find it wrong if Celebrities are clamouring for people to get their PVC. Voting is a civic duty and celebrities are simply urging citizens to do their duty,” she spelt out.
The actress who has featured in at least 20 movies in the past three years has established herself as one of the emerging voices and faces of the Nigerian movie industry.
Aside from being adept at interpreting roles, Chioma Nwaoha is in a class of her own in terms of stamina for acting every other week or month.
The graduate of the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, was involved in no less than three movies in various stages of production in the past month.
In her recent post on her Instagram page, @chiomanwaoha, on June 20, 2022, she confirmed: “Filming “My Crime” the movie.”
