Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has caused a stir online as she referred to herself by her former married name, Balogun.
The movie star, who lost her beloved father at 80 last week, took to her Instagram page to send a message to her fans and followers. She apologised for her recent absence on social media as she promised to return stronger.
Expressing gratitude to them for their support, Faithia stated that she would share details about her father’s burial soon.
She shocked many when she addressed herself with her former marital title, Faithia Williams Balogun.
“I apologise for my recent absence on social media.
I’ll return stronger. Thank you for all your support.
Details about my father’s burial arrangements will be communicated soon.

My sincere apologies. I’m coming back even more stronger”.
Taking to her comment section, her fans jubilate over the addition of Balogun to her name.

Kemi Filani reported last week that Faithia Williams had lost her father to death. She announced his demise on her Instagram page, as she expressed sadness over his death and prayed his soul rests in peace.
The likes of Tawa Ajisefinni, Foluke Daramola Salako, Bimpe Akintunde, Joke Silva, Yinka Quadri, and other Nollywood artists consoled Faithia Williams on her loss.l.
It isn’t surprising seeing Faithia revert back to her marital status, as she and Saidi have been at peace for some years now.
Recall that on her birthday in February, Saidi Balogun had sent a sweet birthday note to her, showering her with love and prayers. Faithia had also done the same as she celebrated Saidi Balogun’s birthday in a sweet way.
The couple married over 20 years ago at an Ikorodu registry and divorced four years later.
Their divorce was quite messy, and Saidi, who told the court that he could not live under the same roof with his estranged wife due to irreconcilable differences, also demanded, among other requests, that Faithia drop his name, Balogun.
Though he had tried remarrying after Faithia left, he has not taken any woman down the aisle as the new Mrs. Balogun.
