The family of the late Abimbola Ogbonna, the wife of celebrity businessman, IVD has released a statement on her death.
Her family created an Instagram page to celebrate the life of the deceased, who died on Saturday, October 15th.
According to the statement, the deceased passed away after suffering fatal burns in a fire incident at her Lagos home.
Her family revealed how they tried to intervene during the course of her marriage. They stated that they intervened and tried to rescue her from the terrible situation she was in.
They described the deceased as a loving individual and a committed wife and mother, who put the desire that her children be raised by her parents before her own peace of mind, happiness, and well-being.
Confirming that IVD is on the run, they called for Nigerians to help bring him to justice.
They added that they are currently working with a law enforcement agency to bring him to books.
IVD changes Instagram DP
This statement is coming a few hours after IVD changed his social media display picture.
Appearing to mourn his late wife, IVD had changed his social media DP to that of the late Bimbo and their kids.
The auto-dealer had since deleted all posts on his Instagram page.
Bimbo’s brother opens up about her death
Recall that late Bimbo‘s brother came out to contradict his sister, Mama Jazz’s story.
Late Bimbo’s brother revealed she lit the fire herself.
Following a series of controversies that had trailed Bimbo’s death, her brother, Oyindamola Martins who had been vocal since her passing detailed what transpired between his late sister and IVD.
In an Instagram live session with media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde better known as Daddy Freeze, Oyindamola revealed that late Bimbo lit the fire herself and poured kerosene on herself.
“She was liting up the whole house, then according to them. This was somebody that was madly in love with her husband and this is not the first time that her husband too has threatened himself If she does not come back, I think she probably expected him to say do am or no do am.”
“Then when she did it she now stopped for a while and she walked round the house, him he was not saying anything he was like if you wan die, d**. Then I think she light up the curtain and it was burning they were now dragging. She now jacked him like omo…you go give me this paper today, then him pushing her off his body got her into the curtain.”
Oyindamola also noted his late sister got burnt while her husband watched and did nothing. He took to his heels when they secured an hospital that agreed to treat her. Read more here.
