Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo was left humbled by the presence of Babatunde Fashola and other dignitaries at the premiere of his father’s movie.
Kemi Filani reported on Sunday that Adebayo Salami had premiered his first Cinema movie, Her Excellency, at Imax Cinemas in Lekki, to celebrate his 60 years in Nollywood.
Among the dignitaries at the event were Babatunde Fashola, the former Governor of Lagos State, and H.E. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Governor of Kwara State.
Sharing clips of them at the event, Femi expressed how honoured he was to receive them. He expressed gratitude for the support, honour, and presence of greatness.

Her Excellency, a political drama, is produced and directed by Femi Adebayo in honour of his father’s contributions to Nigerian cinema over the decades.
The film stars Adebayo Salami alongside a robust cast that includes Femi Adebayo, Sola Sobowale, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Chatta, Lateef Adedimeji, Bimbo Oshin, Dele Odule and Faithia Williams.
According to Femi, the film was conceived not just as a tribute to his father, but also to “further push the boundaries of indigenous storytelling and deliver a compelling story that mirrors society.”
In May, when Femi Adebayo won big at AMVCA, he honoured his father by presenting him with his trophies. Femi stated that his father is the foundation of where he started, as he revealed that his parents’ sacrifices, prayers, and love made him who he is and declared that without them, there wouldn’t be him.
Two years ago, Femi penned a heartwarming tribute to celebrate his father’s dedication to his project. Adebayo appreciated his father for being a boss, friend, confidant, and thanked him for showing the right way. Femi revealed that he can never be tired of admiring his father’s dedication to him.
In another post, the box office king, while sharing photos of them twinning in matching outfits, expressed how glad he was to celebrate his father, whom he considers his mentor and closest friend. According to him, he doesn’t play with his partnership with his father, as he reemphasised that his father deserves to be celebrated every day.
