In a recent social media revelation, O.A.P. Dotun has taken to Instagram to address a growing concern regarding couples going through separation and involving their children in the process.
The radio personality expressed his disapproval of using kids as pawns in what he referred to as “dirty fights” between estranged partners. Dotun made these remarks while discussing an interview video featuring Emeka Ike’s wife, Suzanne, and her son, where they testified against Emeka Ike.
Dotun, in his Instagram post, criticized the decision to involve the child while airing personal grievances during a separation. He expressed that if he were the interviewer, he would have stopped the child participate. He spoke out k the importance of upholding morals and ethics in such situations, Dotun acknowledged Susan’s right to express herself but urged her to share the situation without involving her son.
The radio host passionately conveyed his belief that using children as weapons in a conflict between partners signifies a lack of love for them. Dotun expressed that such actions hinder a person’s growth as a father or mother and criticized the decision to expose the child to the interview.

This comes in the wake of Emeka Ike’s son making shocking statements about his father, where he disclosed that his mother referred to Emeka Ike as a “sore loser” and expressing agreement with this statement. The son described instances where he felt his father’s actions mirrored those he had directed at his mother during their separation.
Emeka Ike’s brother also took to social media to condemn Emekike’s son’s actions and urged him to apologize to their father instead of airing grievances publicly. The brother also lamented on the bias against men in Nigerian society, and the challenges they face when attempting to voice their side of the story.
