It is a heartbreaking time for beloved Nollywood actress and politician, Funke Akindele as she loses her beloved mother.
According to a statement released by Olubunmi Akindele, on behalf of the family, Funke Akindele’s mum passed on Tuesday, February 7.
Praying for her soul, Olubunmi stated that the family would communicate her funeral rites in due time.
“It is with heavy hearts, but in total submission to God Almighty that the ADEBANJO and AKINDELE families announce the passing of their daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. DR. R B ADEBANJO-Akindele which occured on Tuesday 07 February 2023.
May her gentle soul begin it’s rest eternal in peace. Amen. Obsequies in honour of her passing shall be announced in due course.
May her soul rest in peace, Amen”.
Funke Akindele pens touching note to her mother
The devastating news is coming months after, Funke Akindele Bello had penned a sweet birthday message to her mother in celebration of her birthday.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, June 18, Funke Akindele appreciated her mother for being so selfless and kind.
She noted how the lessons and mentorship she has given her has helped shaped her ti the woman she is today.
She prayed for many more years for her in health and wealth.
“My sweet mummy I love you mum!?? Thank you for being so selfless and kind. Your lessons and mentorship shaped who I am today. I am forever grateful mom. I wish you many more years on earth in good health and wealth ma….”.
Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s mother, Hilda dies at 98
Kemi Filani reported days back that The Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, had announced the death of his mother, Hilda.
She passed away on Sunday evening, February 5th at 98.
In a statement on Monday, Pastor Paul wrote: “We thank the Almighty God for the life of our mother, Mrs. Hilda Joanne Adefarasin (nee Petgrave), who passed unto glory peacefully in her home, on the evening of Sunday the 5th of February 2023, at the age of 98 years.
“She is survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
“As we reflect with gratitude over the illustrious life of service led by Mrs. Hilda Joanne Adefarasin as she parented her children, doted over her husband, and impacted generations and communities, we are reminded of her unwavering love for our LORD Jesus Christ.
“We covet your prayers and ask that you do allow us these initial days to grieve privately.
“Obsequies, venue for condolence visits & visiting hours will be announced soon.”
This is coming just three weeks after his mother marked her 98th birthday.
