Funke Akindele’s dad’s burial holds in her absence (photos)

Earlier today, Kemi Filani News reported that the Bishop Rt. Rev Samson Osundina of Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Nigeriahad expressed disappointment in the Nollywood actress Funke Akindele Bello and her siblings over their absence at their dad’s final burial.

We have now got some first photos from the burial ceremony.

Their father Rev. Godwin Olusoji Akindele, died on December 7, 2019, after a brief illness. However, none of his four children was present at his Service of Songs and final burial.

During the burial sermon, Rev. Osundina thanked the children of Rev. Godwin olusoji Akindele children for taking care of their father during the times when he was ill before he died but stressed the fact that paying him the last respect as children was very important and significant.

He commanded them to retrace their steps by making amends where necessary. He then delayed the usual thanksgiving service which are final programes in Christian’s burial, till the deceased’s children are available to attend.
