Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ housemate, Groovy Mono is sharing his experience following the explosion in Ibadan.
Kemi Filani reported on Tuesday night that there was an explosion in the city of Ibadan, Oyo State which left residents in panic. At the time of reporting, the cause of the explosions is yet to be ascertained, but the unfortunate incident has been confirmed by the government and investigations have begun.
According to reports, properties were destroyed as a result of the explosion, and the UCH School of Nursing hostel glass windows were shattered during the quake.
Groovy, who is currently in Ibadan for undisclosed reasons, revealed that he heard the explosion from his hotel room. Pleading to his Maker, he stated that the pictures and clips he had seen from the explosion were scary.
Checking up on others, he questioned if they were all safe.
“I dey Ibadan dey shoot movie oh. Heard the explosion from my hotel room. God Abeg. The pictures & clips I’m seeing are scary. Hope everyone is safe”.
Days back, veteran actress Ireti Doyle shared a harrowing experience on Instagram, where she spoke out about a near-death encounter with carbon monoxide poisoning.
She recounted how a stop at the mall during her time-out with her kids turned into a life-threatening situation, as she was discovered unconscious in the car, foaming at the mouth with blood trickling down her nose.
Doyle narrated how the best Nigerian medical personnel, logistics, and every resource needed miraculously fell into place.
In better news, Groovy had sparked relationship rumors with colleague, Uriel Oputa after they were captured kissing passionately inside a car outside a club. The viral videos and images of their amorous display led many to believe that a romantic connection had blossomed between them.
The relationship didn’t sit right with many as Uriel faced criticism and was labeled as desperate.
The two finally came clean about it as the duo confessed that their entire relationship dynamic was all part of a carefully orchestrated PR stunt.
During an interview session conducted by Uriel, both Groovy and Uriel openly discussed that what appeared to be a budding romance was a fabricated performance, and their affectionate interactions were far from genuine.
