Banky W who wrote the first theme song of Etisalat Nigeria titled “0809ja for life” as well as other RnB songs had his once blossoming career to a crashing halt upon his decision to get married

A few people who had hoped that his marriage would have no part to play in his career considering his playboy looks, and love/romantic songs have gotten their hoped dashed as they got a rude shock as what many did not understand was a large number of his fans related to his romantic songs personally on a romantic level, leading to a crash in the fantasy most female fans had fed
Prior to his marriage to Nollywood actress, Adesua, he was the boss of Empire mates Entertainment, a record label that had likes of Wizkid, Skales, Shady, Niyola on their roaster. They were a huge force but soon after the marriage E.M.E still exist but it’s a shadow of itself. This shows lack of focus on the path of the singer. The rate at which he released music has also reduced, his last project “Songs about U” had fewer songs than his other projects. In life, when you lose focus in something, it is bound to suffer one way or the other.
Another major factor that affected Banky’s career is his political career and this is not entirely his fault considering Nigerians are not receptive to change or transition. In the Nigerian entertainment industry, it is often difficult to be accepted when you transform to something else and that was exactly what his political ambitions did to him. People just saw him as that singer that wants to join the gang of entertainers trying to join politics. They put you in that bracket and with Banky not winning the election fans are confused as to what exactly he is about.
