The supremacy battle between Wizkid and Davido was once again ignited yesterday at the just concluded 3 day Wizkid ‘Made in Lagos’ concert held at the London 02 Arena.
At the sold out concert, Nigerian artistes like Burna Boy, Oxlade, Tems, Bella Shmurda, Buju performed alongside Ella Mai, Skepta and Chris Brown.
Yesterday at the grand finale of the show where Burna Boy and Tems performed, fans took to the comment section of the livestream, anticipating when Davido would be called out but it never happened.
Many music pundits thought that moment would be the high point of the successful show, but their hope was dashed.
Kemi Filani News recalls that back in 2017 both artistes reconciled during Wizkid’s concert which held at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos. Wizkid made the first move by inviting Davido to share the stage and spotlight with him to the delight of the audience. Both stars performed Davido’s hit track, Fia and it was such a beautiful sight.
Asked if they have ever considered working together, Davido said in an interview: “I’ve tried to do an album with Wiz.I’ve tried to do a tour with Wiz. Like we’ve spoken about it. I love Wizkid bruh. I know he loves me too”.
