Days after Esther Benyego was crowned winner of The Voice Nigeria season 3, fellow contestants, Naomi Mac’s fans have continued to cry on social media.
Esther Benyego walked away with 10 million naira cash prize, a singing contract and other mouth watering prizes after she beat hundreds of other contestants to emerge winner of the music talent show.
However, fans of another contestant, Naomi Mac, who made it to the top 4, have taken to social media to wail.
The winner of the show was determined by votes of the viewers and Naomi didn’t get enough votes to take her to top 3 let alone, win the show.
Taking to the comment section of the YouTube page of the Voice, one Ebet Enagbare, shaded Esther as she consoled Naomi by writing, “Human crown doesn’t last, but God’s crown is Eternal. Don’t be disturbed heaven as ordained u a winner, and u ve been crowned by God”
Reacting to the comment, an Esther fan, Jani N wrote, “God crowned Esther and it will LAST A LIFETIME!! Some of you are the problem in this world. I Love Noami and she will go places. They are all super talented ppl”
One Cami wrote, “The winner deserves the winning and nothing you say or do will change the fact that Esther is the winner and she deserves it and it will remain in history as a winner of The voice Nigeria.”
Another internet user wrote, “We really did this lady dirty by not voting enough..anyway sha…girl if by chance you are reading this..just know you have gained new fans and we are watching and waiting for all you will bring to the music industry..see you at the top girl”
One Miriam Ikechukwu wrote, “Naomi Mac you’re a winner your performance has already passed this stage of contesting.”
