“Anti Bimbo, I miss you so much” Actor Moyo Lawal has cried out after her senior colleague, Bimbo Akintola went missing in action since late 2021.
A check through Bimbo Akintola‘s social media platforms showed that the last time she has been active on them was in 2021 when she wished media personality, Nancy Isime a happy birthday, and prior before then, she has been off the social scene and not spotted at public functions.
Neither has she been spotted or involved in any movie project or production.
In August 2021, Bimbo Akintola expressed appreciation to Iyabo Ojo for dropping everything to support her.
She also prayed for Iyabo Ojo, saying that she will always have people to stand by her.
She wrote: I want to appreciate this amazing woman @iyaboojofespris. We have come a long way and I am so proud of the woman you have become.
Thank you for dropping everything to support me, I can’t express how grateful I am. You will always have people to stand by you IJN…..much love baby.
Kemi Filani News recalls that Bimbo Akintola once opined that if social media is a person’s criteria for success, then such person has a huge problem.
The actress made her opinion known during an interview with Sunday Scoop. Bimbo Akintola advised people not to be depressed because of what they see on social media.
“I think that people need to work more on themselves. If you judge your life based on what is happening on social media, there is a huge problem.
It is called social media for a reason. 90 per cent of the things seen on social media are not real. We all have different paths to follow in life. One should learn to judge oneself by one’s standards and not by other people’s standards.
Many people need to sit down and rethink their lives because if social media is your criteria for success, then there is a huge problem,” she said.
Bimbo Akintola, 51, is one of the best, fluent and versatile actors in Nollywood.
Her debut acting was when she featured in the film Owo Blow in 1995 alongside Femi Adebayo and followed up with Out of Bounds in 1997 with Richard Mofe Damijo. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading role at the 2013 Nollywood Movies Awards.
