He revealed that he had met Davido back when he still a “smoke” supplier.
He opened up in a recent live video, recounting that his initial connection with Davido was far from ordinary. Before he became popular, Father DMW was involved in supying “smoke” to people. His role primarily involved supplying these substances to Lati, a close confidant of Davido.
Father DMW further explained that what initially began as routine deliveries to Lati soon took an better turn. Lati extended invitations for Father DMW to visit and socialize. This change marked the beginning of Father DMW’s gradual integration into the inner circle of Davido’s close friends and associates, ultimately leading to his first encounter with the music sensation himself.
Also recall that very recently, Kemi Filani reported that Davido’s lawyer and close friend, Prince II had made a bold statement on Davido’s influence on music. He revealed that Davido’s influence extends beyond his music and has significantly impacted the culture of music video production in Nigeria. Prince II boldly stated that Davido had set a foot map that many other artists have followed.
Prince II reveals that when Davido started his music journey, he had produced his music videos with heavy financial investment. This had spurred fellow artists to take similar risks.
