Nigerian rapper, Ice Prince has shown love to Cassper Nyovest by claiming he’s a South African.
This was in reaction to a post by South African rapper Cassper Nyovest who wishes he is from Nigeria.
Cassper Nyovest made this known in reaction to a tweet from a Nigerian fan of his who wrote;
“I just wish you from Nigeria …..you are a good man and talented too ….always speaking the truth and being real… One love man”.
In response, Cassper Nyovest confessed that he also wishes he was from Nigeria:
“Won’t even lie. I wish i was from Nigeria too. The love they have for thier own artists, the way they celebrate their culture, 90% local content on radio and Tv, there way they celebrate their music no matter where they are in the world, the unity within thier industry. A DREAM!”.
The tweet received mixed reactions from South Africans, some of whom felt he was putting the Nigerian music industry above theirs.
Lending support to his stance, Ice Prince also declared that he’s South African just as Cassper Nyovest is Nigerian.
He tweeted:
“Africans Love #SouthAfrica And will always hold the country up and high up forever !!!!! We just need Thesame Love back with no comparisons, Generalism or divisions in any form or shape and Everything will be Nice @casspernyovest You are as Nigerian as i am South African”.
