In a new development, Mohbad’s wife, Omawunmi, has spoken out following reports that court had ordered her to do a DNA test.
She revealed that she was yet to receive the court’s order. Speaking through her counsel, Taiwo Olawande, she denied any knowledge of the court’s order. There counselor had this to say,
“ We do not have the court’s order. If we do have an order, we will advise her to adhere to it. That is not a problem, but we are not aware of any order.”
Now recall that earlier today, Kemi Filani had reported that the court had ordered Mohbad to have to do a DNA test. It was revealed that magistrate court, which was in the I area of Lagos, had ordered the singer’s late wife to perform a DNA test immediately. This suit was allegedly filed by Mubat’s father, Joseph Aloba.
The statement also revealed that the legal team had attempted twice to solve Omawumi. The court’s process was failed.
Now let’s recall that for the past months since the passing of Mohbad, the Aloba family, particularly Mohbad’s father, Joseph, has been contesting the real paternity of baby Liam.
In the beginning of April, actress Sarah Martins had slammed Mohbad’s wife over her refusal to do a DNA. She called her a senseless widower. She further questioned why she was so scared of doing a DNA.
She also pondered if she did not want to clear her name and protect the legacy of her husband. She revealed that if she were in Wunmi’s shoes, she would have done the DNA test a long time ago to clear her name and protect the legacy of her late husband.
