The shocking death of talent manager, and PR specialist Steve Osagie also known as Steve Spotlight has left Nigerian Entertainment industry and primarily the music end of the industry mourning.
In the early hours of Friday, September 7 2022, news circulated on Social Media that Music Executive Steve Osagie popularly called Steve Spotlight was dead.
The news has attracted condolences from personalities in the music industry who were colleagues with Steve.
According to Media Influencer Tunde Ednut, Steve showed no symptoms of sickness and he simply passed on in his sleep in what comes as a shock to everyone who knew him.
For actress Ogunjimi Adeyinka better known as Whykay, she had known Steve Osagie for over years and sees him as an angel on earth.
She wrote: “Known steve for over 5 years and I met him for the first time this year!
Before meeting me he always supported me!
Always my plug to opportunities even before meeting Me in person! He was an amazing person how did this happen ?? Randomly checked up on me and let me know how proud I made him! How I shouldn’t give up and keep doing everything ?? OH Steveđ˘
Steve was an angel in human form! He just always wanted to support in every way ! He had plans for me more than I did for myself ! Heaven has taken another good one.
Always called you an angel in human form, you’ve taken your real form now; an angel. Thank you for everything and Rest in peace Steve Osaze Osagie.”
On Air Personality, Dotun described late Steve Osagie as an absolute beautiful soul.
He shared a photo of the late music talent manager and wrote, ‘Steve this picture is the reason why you have stayed the longest in this business even for a short while. LOYALTY & RESPECT is what youâve given everyone that you came across. Eleyi dun Mi o! You made me fall in love with @jjcskillz craft and many many more cos you saw the things we didnât see; you sell it us and we believe. I have never doubted you knowledge and recommendations from that second. You are one of the Angels I met. Iâll miss you. This is one guy that checks on everyone. Our last conversation.. sigh! We agreed to see again Steve.. why did you go? Why? RIP to an absolute beautiful soul.”
Other mourners have continued to describe Steve Osagie as a peace-loving and kind man who was willing to help as many people as he could.
