Dang Community founder and advocate for women Ifedayo Agoro, better known as Diary of a Naija Girl on Instagram, has slammed legendary singer, 2baba, over his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia.
Kemi Filani reported on Sunday night that 2baba or 2face, had announced his divorce from Annie. He revealed that he and Annie had been separated for a while and had filed for divorce, and promised to grant a press release soon to tell his story.
2baba surprised many when he shared another post debunking marital crisis with Annie and later shared a video of him admitting that their marriage was on the rock.
Reacting to the video, Ifedayo noted how men like 2baba groom ladies, make them lose themselves to the man and then dump them. She expressed how angry she is, especially, knowing she does not involve herself with such things.
Ifedayo called 2baba’s behavior disgusting as she noted how 2baba had abandoned Annie during her worst moment when she was crucified by the public. She noted how he constantly humiliated Annie publicly since she was 18.
“First they groom you, then you lose yourself and then they dump you. I am so angry! I never involve myself with things like this but this is a disgusting behavior by this man. In the time when this woman was being bashed, you had to say this? Knowing you constantly humiliated her publicly since I was 18 years old? Why now? Why heap more fire on her reputation?
Never choose a man over yourself. No one is INDISPENSABLE! Gosh!”.
The divorce announcement came as a shock as just a few days back, Annie had shared clips of her Detty December with 2baba as she gushed over their union. The mother of two told her haters and critics, who she referred to as devil and witches to give it up as it has been 25 years of friendship and 13 years of marriage with her husband.
Recall that in 2021, the Idibia’s marriage almost hit the rock as Annie Idibia publicly called out her husband, accusing him of having an affair with his second baby mama, Pero Adeniyi. However, the couple was able to settle their differences and in 2023, 2baba denounced his role model title after tendering a public apology to her.
