In celebration of Mother’s Day, Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, has penned an emotional note to herself.
While sharing photos of her daughter, she said that anytime she looks at her mini-me, she is overwhelmed with so many emotions that she asks herself why she waited so long. However, as her name implies, ‘God’s time’, she was simply waiting for her daughter.
The mother of one revealed that she is left overwhelmed when she looks at her daughter’s loving and compassionate nature and her ever-vibrant and happy self. She expressed how humbled and in awe she is of God for bringing every one of his promises for her into manifestation.
“Happy mothers to me and every loving mother on the planet.
Oh my sweet little angel. Every time I look at you, your loving and compassionate nature, your ever-vibrant and happy self, I am overwhelmed with so many emotions that I ask myself. Why did you wait so long? Then I realised that, as my name implies, “God’s time”, I was simply waiting for you. It had to be you specifically to fill me with this level of joy. Dear God, I am humbled and in Awe of how you manifest every promise you have made to me. I just want to express my joy and my gratitude for the greatest gift of all. In March, Ini had penned an appreciation note to her Maker as she celebrated her daughter’s birthday. Ini noted how, four years ago, God entrusted her with her daughter, whom she described as an incredible gift. Showering her mini-me with praises, Ini added that watching her daughter grow has been a privilege and expressed her pride in her daughter.
In January, during an episode of Young Famous and African, Ini opened up on her journey to motherhood. She revealed that there was no man when she decided to have her child, which she desperately wanted. Ini disclosed that she never thought she would have fertility issues, as she had issues carrying pregnancies long-term.
Recall that in 2021, Ini Edo opened up about having a baby through surrogacy and how beautiful it feels to be a mother. She revealed that the eggs belong to her; hence genetically, the baby is her blood. However, Ini Edo failed to disclose the sperm donor stating that her baby’s peace of mind is paramount to her, and it is an incredible feeling being a mother. Speaking on motherhood, she described it as an awesome feeling.
