Speed Darlington may have been locked up for four days, but that didn’t kill his spirit. The controversial rapper took to Instagram to give an update about his life, following his issue with Burnaboy.
According to Speed Darlington, the reason why he hasn’t been active online is not because being locked up changed him.
His reason for being unstable online was because his phones were still with the police in Abuja, and the new one he ordered was still on its way to him.
Speed Darlington said that Burnaboy locking him up made it the eighteenth time he has been locked up because back in the U.S, he has been arrested for about seventeen times.
The rapper said that in the U.S prison, if you didn’t know anyone, you were completely doomed, and that Nigerian prisons were nothing compared to the ones back in the U.S.
Speed Darlington also made mention of the dire state of some prisoners he met in Nigeria, and he shared that some of their stories were touching because they had been in the holding cell for months without being availed a Lawyer.
Going forward, Speed Darlington said that it was almost the same thing that happened to him because he wasn’t given access to speak to his family or Lawyer.
Speed Darlington said his ‘brothers’ from Anambra state weren’t happy that he didn’t inform them of his arrest earlier, but he said it wasn’t his fault because he had no access to his phones.
Although Speed Darlington said he hasn’t been actively online, his digital footprint since he got out of prison says otherwise.
So far, Speed Darlington’s legal team has tendered an apology through his Instagram page, which he later on retracted.
Speed Darlington has gone in several live video rants, bragging about how he’s better than Burnaboy in all ramifications.
