Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has weighed into 2baba’s public announcement of his divorce from his wife and mother of two of his kids, Annie Idibia.
Taking to her Instagram page, she sent a reminder to couples, telling them that when love fades, they should prioritize their children’s well-being. She stated that as parents, sacrifices are essential and one should never abandon their loved ones in their darkest moments, even when separation or divorce is inevitable.
She admonished the public to emphasize empathy and their children’s mental health. She said that sensitive issues shouldn’t be publicly aired as she noted how social media disregard the well-being of those involved.
Iyabo said she adores 2baba, but the timing of his post was off as adding fuel to the fire and burning the mother of his kids who is already vulnerable, is so unempathetic. Iyabo expressed how disappointed she was with him.
Sending a message to Annie, she told her that the storm would pass and prayed that they both find inner strength to prioritize their children’s needs.

Similarly, media personality, Toke Makinwa made it known that she isn’t advising anyone to stay in a situation that is not serving them any purpose. She stated that her problem is him bringing it on social media, especially at this moment. She stated that she knows what goes on behind closed doors, which the world doesn’t know of. Toke reaffirmed that she would stand by Annie as she noted how timing is everything, and that people would know the truth someday.
