Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo is in the news again after her colleague, Lola Alao called her out.
In a video on her Instagram page, Lola Alao noted how Mercy Aigbe, Toyin Abraham, and one Sharon had pleaded with her privately to not call out the actress, but she couldn’t hold it back. She revealed how Iyabo visited her in Canada and helped advertise one of her clothes, which has led to daily orders from people across the globe.
Appreciating her, Lola praised Iyabo for boosting her sales as she bragged about her, calling her a blessed child.
“I brought Iyabo Ojo’s issue to you. Although Toyin, Mercy, and Sharon have begged me that I shouldn’t do it, if I don’t it wouldn’t be good because Iyabo stressed me.
I was in Canada when Iyabo Ojo came to promote a cloth for me. Since Iyabo advertised the clothes, I haven’t heard rest of mind. People have been calling me from London, America, and Canada. They said they wanted the specific clothes that Iyabo Ojo wore. How many of you have younger sisters who would be advertising clothes for you and it would sell out? I appreciate you, I love you. I have had sleepless nights because of orders. God will bless you, and God will reward you. Anyone that doesn’t know you, don’t know that you’re a child of blessing”.
Reacting to it, Iyabo revealed that she was first scared when she saw the video and was questioning what she did to Lola. But now, her heart has adjusted back after watching the video to the end.
She appreciated Lola for recognizing her impact and also expressed her love for her.
“When I first saw this video, I was like wetin I do again ooo.
My heart don adjust back, thanks for the appreciation post, you’re a wonderful soul, I got your back, any day anytime, my darling sisto of life, @iamlolaalao love you scatter”.
This isn’t the first time, Iyabo has come through for Lola Alao.
In 2020, Lola Alao recounted how Iyabo had saved her from death after her battle with COVID-19.
Lola Alao isn’t the only celebrity who has spoken highly of Iyabo Ojo.
Some weeks back, Funke Akindele had recounted how her colleagues, Iyabo Ojo and Sikiratu Sindodo helped her up the ladder and fought for her during her early career days.
According to her, she was being stereotyped because of her physical appearance which many considered ‘ugly’, and was only cast for Waka pass roles. This led to her breaking down on one of her movie sets and Iyabo and Sikiratu stood up for her.
Also, Bimbo Success disclosed how Iyabo Ojo reached out to her after learning of her twins’ struggles. Recall that Bimbo had penned a note to Funke, recounting how one of her twin babies was saved from a severe cough.
Following this, Iyabo reached out to Bimbo and was a bit saddened that she wasn’t informed of the situation, and Bimbo penned a gratifying note to Iyabo.
