Jada Pollock, the soon-to-be mother of three award-winning singer, Wizkid’s kids, has opened up on being labeled a baby mama.
In an interview with BET UK, the talent manager noted how when Wizkid won a Grammy, she wrote a statement about how far Afrobeat has come, and many blogs labeled her as ‘Wizkid’s baby mama.’ She noted how people undermine her accomplishments and don’t see her as an entrepreneur and hardworking businesswoman.
Jada made it known that she isn’t just a mother but also a manager and she has helped build a legacy.
“When Wizkid won a Grammy, I wrote a statement about how far afrobeat has come. They put the statement out, and the caption was “Wizkid baby mama.” The narrative is not seen as you’re an entrepreneur and hardworking businesswoman. I’m not only a mother but also a manager, and I’ve helped build a legacy”.
Kemi Filani reported in August that Wizkid and Jada are expecting their third child. In a viral video, the heavily pregnant mum of two was seen partying with her friends, as she showed off her protruding baby bump.
Jada later confirmed it as she shared a video of her with her protruding baby bump, along with a message.
When the news of her pregnancy made rounds, social media critic, Oriretan Honour slammed her as he stated that it was unwise getting pregnant for the third time for Wizkid, especially when he hadn’t paid her bride price. He stated that he thought the first pregnancy was a mistake but having another without dowry was most unwise.
The relationship between Wizkid and his babymama has been rocking over the years. Last year, the lovebirds hinted at a breakup after the singer revealed that he was single and ready to find love again, which left Jada infuriated and she slammed him for bringing their issue online.
The two later reconciled and Wizkid had surprised her on Mother’s Day last year with a lavish treat. He purchased a variety of food items for her, and also surprised her with a Land Rover, which Pollock happily shared online.
Not stopping there, Wizkid went all out for her as she celebrated her 40th birthday by throwing her an exot!c birthday bash and splashing over N10 million naira on her.
