Nollywood actress Jaiye Kuti has stirred reactions online over her compliment to her colleague, Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Kazim Adeoti.
Kemi Filani reported on Tuesday that Mercy held the premiere of her much talked about movie, Thinline, which had in attendance lots of her colleagues. As always, her husband, Kazim, showed support for her rocking a two-piece slightly off-shoulder outfit, which left many mocking him. Many deemed his outfit not befitting for his status as they blamed Mercy for turning him into a laughing stock.
In a video from the event, Jaiye Kuti was captured complimenting the filmmaker’s outfit. In the clip, Jaiye was seen looking at his outfit as she gushed over how beautiful it was and how amazing he looked.
“You look amazing. This is beautiful”.
Her statement didn’t sit well with netizens.

Since their controversial marriage in 2022, Kazim Adeoti hasn’t failed to show support for his wife, which lost him the admiration of many. The marketer, since marrying the famous actress, has taken up different roles to show support for his woman.
Last year, the filmmaker dressed up as a woman to help promote her movie, which made netizens crown him ‘Husband Of The Year’. The father of four and Mercy had switched clothes and sexuality as Mercy dressed as her husband, while Kazim wore buba with a wrapper and a scarf on him as he pulled off some moves alongside his wife.
While commenting on her husband’s duty to her, Mercy stated that a man who marries an actress must be ready to do content to participate in his wife’s work.
During the premiere of the movie, Mercy Aigbe publicly appreciated him over his strong support for her. The actress broke down in tears while she narrated her dilemma for publicizing the movie on social media before its release. She disclosed how she approached her husband for his assistance in projecting the movie and how he agreed to do anything for her. She knelt in the screening room to appreciate him in the presence of her colleagues and this move got them howling with awwws.
