Japanese comedians, “Kano” and “Murakami” have apologized after stating that Tennis star, Naomi Osaka, needs to bleach her skin a little bit.
The comedy duo stated this during an even on September 22. According to them, Naomi Osaka is too sunburn.
They have now issued an apology over their words which they described as “ignorant” and “hurtful.”
“We apologize for our failure to supervise A Masso, who made remarks that entirely lacked consideration,” their management firm, Watanabe Entertainment, added in a statement.
Also tendering an apology is Watanabe Entertainment over their “remarks inconsiderate of diversity in an era where diversity is respected”.
