Nollywood actress Jemima Osunde recently shared her fears about the state of governance in Nigeria, following the Edo State gubernatorial elections.
In her post, Jemima Osunde wrote that clamoring on social media, and creating hashtag campaigns for a better government didn’t work.
She also mentioned that protesting in the streets didn’t work. This was made with reference to the nationwide protest that took place a few months ago in order to reduce the price of fuel across the country.
Jemima Osunde went on to also highlight that even though Nigerians got their voters card and went out to vote their preferred candidate so that their votes would count, it didn’t change anything.
Closing her tweet, Jemima Osunde pondered on what would actually make a difference in Nigeria, and she also asked what would help make Nigeria a better place.
Jemima Osunde’s tweet seemed to resonate with a lot of people, as they gave a nod of approval, while proceeding to add their own input.
