Popular skincare entrepreneur Jennys Glow has taken a fierce step by serving TikToker VeryDarkMan with a whopping 500 million naira lawsuit.
This action is in response to VeryDarkMan’s public statements alleging that Jennys Glow’s products are fake, which led to regulatory authorities temporarily sealing her shops.
The controversy began when VeryDarkMan, a prominent figure on TikTok, made a series of videos in which he questioned the authenticity of products associated with Jennys Glow. His allegations, which reached a wide audience on social media, raised concerns about the quality and legitimacy of Jennys Glow’s products.
In response to these allegations, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), took action by temporarily sealing some of Jennys Glow’s shops pending further investigation.
Jennys Glow, who has managed to build a successful brand over the years took a decisive step to protect her reputation and business interests. She filed a 500 million naira lawsuit against VeryDarkMan, accusing him of defamation of character.

Recall that a few weeks TikToker @verydarkman1 did a video where he outrightly called out her brand for being fake and lacking authenticity. He had stated that the brand was selling harmful chemicals to the public in the guise of skincare.
Jenny’s Glow only response at the time was to immediately send a cease and desist letter to the TikToker through their legal representatives. However this action only spurred him on ultimately leading to shop being sealed off.
After the video of her shop being sealed off had gone viral, Jenny’s glow In a live video had revealed that her Abuja shop wasn’t not sealed off and that NAFDAC only took a few of her products which would soon be returned to her.
